I never owned any ottoman before, but I like these. I can store items that are not too heavy because the bottoms don't seem that sturdy. Same with the ottomans that "nest" inside. The four sides of all The Jameson Single Storage Ottomans are not solid wood, but only the faux leather stretched from top to bottom. The wood framing and removable/reversible tops of the storage ottomans seems to be sturdy and made with high quality wood. They still are deceptively heavy. I bought two and liked them so much I bought two more. The four can be pushed together, tops reversed to be used as tabletops, and the nesting ottomans removed to be used as seating, and viola, you have a 3x3 table and seating for four. They can be separated and used as end tables. Two together can become a coffee table. You can store your video games, DVDs, CDs, or throws and pillows too. Overall, I'm a proud owner. They look and feel like real leather, all they need is to add the smell of leather to them.

      I have a half square couch (both sides of the L are the same length) and there are also recliners on the ends. Which means a coffee table is hard to pull off when both recliners are out. This little cube sits in the center when both recliners are up and since it can flip to make a try...instant coffee table! For the price, it can't be matched. I gave one star off because it came with the tray side (flip the ottoman cushion over) slightly dirty/sticky with some kind of glue. I haven't washed it off yet, but I thought that this was a little something to gripe about.
